Dominican Sisters Moving Forward With Priory Plans in Austin

This is really good news from our friends, the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist. They have a booming number of vocations and have had sisters in the Diocese of Austin the last few years. We love having them come visit us and it looks like we might see more and more sisters soon:
Dear Friends in Christ, On this Feast of Our Lady, we are pleased to share some momentous news. In order to provide housing and adequate formation to the young women seeking to give their lives to Christ, the Sisters are moving forward with plans to build the first phase of a priory in Texas.

In accord with this vision, the Dominican Sisters of Mary celebrated a significant milestone on September 23rd, as Mother Assumpta Long, OP signed the closing documents for a beautiful 60 acre property just northeast of Austin. Acquiring land within the Diocese of Austin was an important step forward in the community’s plans for expansion. To read a letter from Mother Assumpta on this endeavor, click here.
What a great group of women. Please keep them in your prayers.
