I don't know why it's this year either, but it was needed for some time. The fact that we didn't even match that of the other languages to "and also with your spirit" should have been a big bell-ringer...
...And for all the desire of those trumpeting the "Spirit of Vatican II" to make the Faith and Scripture accessible to the laity... the mere fact that the prayer immediately before Communion, the Centurion's Prayer, wasn't know to me after years of Catholic teaching until coming to St. Mary's... is disappointing.
This is getting us to where we need to be Post-Vatican II and beyond.
I really appreciate Life Teen for bringing this video out. Funny, informative, and hopefully lets the teens dig deeper.
