Here is a compilation of the reviews I have seen about my book (Set Free to Love: Lives Changed by the Theology of the Body). Some very nice things people have to say. Of course some of these people are friends of mine and the rest I paid a lot of money. ;-)

Creative Minority Report:

I'm an idiot so I tend to stay away from heavy duty theology books but I read this, enjoyed the heck out of it, and I understood everything (I think.) Marcel has a real gift for making grand concepts into easily understandable and relate-able real life stories.

National Catholic Register:

All of the personal stories are preceded by an excellent introduction by Marcel LeJeune, assistant director of campus ministry at St. Mary’s Catholic Center at Texas A&M University. LeJeune gives a succinct and clear overview of the Pope’s ideas — and his own testimony.

Conversion Diary:

Here’s a gem that’s both inspiring and informative: Set Free to Love: Lives Changed by the Theology of the Body by Marcel Lejeune (whose excellent blog is here). As a convert on TOB-related issues (abortion, contraception, etc.) I was delighted to see this book. I think that the format, a series of individual personal essays, is perfect for making the subject personal and accessible. And it doesn’t shy away from the tough issues: its writers talk candidly about personal struggles with everything from pornography, same-sex attraction, abortion, celibacy and the trials of married life. A really excellent book.

Marcel LeJeune has gathered together a punchy, relevant and clear book which should continue to change the lives of those it touches. It's a great book for a college study group, high school students and all young people who want to live a life truly set free to love. Highly recommended.

The Curt Jester:

This book could almost have been called “Surprised by Theology of the Body” as a homage to Patrick Madrid’s Surprise by Truth series of convert stories. Many of the stories in this book are indeed conversion stories to the Catholic Church where Pope John Paul’s II’s teaching of the Theology of the Body had a major role. Many of the stories involve living lives at odds with Catholic teaching on sexuality and TOB contributed to helping them understand this teaching and to provide healing.

The Thin Veil:

If you are intrigued about the ‘theology of the body’ but are unsure whether to study it deeper, “Set Free to Love” will convince you of its power and provoke more exploration. As others unwrap this wonderful gift, you will want to experience its power yourself.

Convert Journal:

After a good introduction to Theology of the Body, a dozen personal stories are presented detailing how it has changed their lives. Each story is unique and very different including not only single and married people, but same sex attraction, a priest and a sister. Friends, this is an inexpensive paperback book. Being introduced to (or deepening your understanding of) the theology of the body is priceless. I recommended this captivating and inspiring book.

If you have not heard about or read Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body, then this book is for you. After reading this book, you will see the importance and feel the urge to rush out to the store and find the T of the B.

"Set Free to Love: Lives Changed by the Theology of the Body" by Marcel LeJeune was something I've been looking for, so I was excited to see it. I often hear people criticize aspects of the theology of the body as unrealistic and unattainable, and have been wanting to read some stories of people who not only struggled with it, but embraced it and saw it revolutionize their lives.
