What I Am Reading

Currently on my nightstand:

I have studied the first translation put out by Pauline several times, but this current translation is more faithful to the original text and has a much better introduction.

I enjoyed Meeker's other book Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters and have enjoyed this one as well. I recommend it to parents.

Probably the best Catholic study bible on the market. The only problem is that it currently only comes in seperate volumes. Worth it anyway.

I love the classics.

*Not a book, but I am also reading the current issue of First Things. The best journal on faith, culture, and politics in publication currently, in my opinion.

What are you reading?

Happy Birthday, Marcel!

My primary reading right now is The Everlasting Man by G.K. Chesterton. This will be finished tonight, and tomorrow I start Virgil's Aeneid for the first time.

Also piddling through some short stories by Flannery O'Connor; and various essays by Russell Kirk, Allen Tate, and Hilaire Belloc.
