Cardinal DiNardo on Lent

Added to our Lent 2009 megapost, is this great resource from the Archdiocese to our south - Galveston-Houston. The Cardinal is encouraging all Catholics in the Archdiocese to listen to 30 minutes of the Bible, via this website, every day of Lent.

The Cardinal was part of the Vatican's Synod on the Word of God. He came back and made the push to get the Archdiocese more involved in reading Sacred Scripture. This is one of the initiatives in a broad-reaching plan from the Archdiocese on getting Catholics to read the Bible (check it out).St. Mary's Catholic Center's Institute of Catholic Studies' Distinguished Speaker Series - Feb, 2009.

Not only because we have a large number of students from the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, but because these are great resources and prayerful ways to enter into Lent - we encourage all to take advantage of this opportunity.
