Science Playing God

Yes, technology is moving fast.
Yes, we are able to do amazing things.
But, we need to stop and ask the question "ought we do it?" many times. This is one of those times. It is clear, in my opinion, that we ought NOT do it.

It is very wrong to take humans and use them as if they are just another object at the disposal of science.

This quote gets me:
The HFEA's consultation reveals welcome recognition of the potential of this research, [with] 61% of the general public agreeing with the creation of human-animal embryos, if it may help understand diseases, with only a quarter opposed to this research.
I don't care what the outcome or the public opinion is. It is wrong.
